Only a few months ago, he was a successful executive. Now he’s a desperate man. David Ponder is about to make the worst decision of his life—to give up—when he is suddenly transported back in time to seven crucial moments in history. At each stop, he meets an extraordinary figure who imparts his or her secret for success. Sometimes we need divine wisdom from some of the greatest minds throughout history. What guidance would iconic heroes like Abraham Lincoln, King Solomon, and Anne Frank give us in today’s world climate?

On this incredible journey Ponder discovers The Seven Decisions for success that can turn any life around, no matter how hopeless a situation may seem. In this modern classic, Andrews’ blend of fiction and allegory will inspire you to find true and lasting success in your life.

Learn how to live life intentionaly by developing a list of 101 things to accomplish before you die.

You may have heard about doing something like this before, but have you actually sat down and done it yet? Did you see the movie the bucket list? This is very similar but instead of waiting until the end of life why not experience life now!

If you have, then congratulations, you are likely having great fun going through the list, checking things off and doing more in your life than most people would get done if they had ten lives.

If you have not, then understand that this article is timely for you, as it is never too late to start your list, unless you are dead, or dying soon, I might then refer you to find an article on the 10 things to do before you die, if you snooze, you lose.

The reality is we all die at some point, nobody knows when, or how, so if you want to look back on your life and see it as a life full of accomplishment and excitement, with no regrets, then it is time to put pen to paper.

Alright, now that I have likely hurt the feelings of some people and excited others, the underlying message here is Take Action Now.

This exercise is easy, take about 4-5 lined sheets of paper, number 1 - 101 down the side and at the top write “I am so happy and grateful now that I have a list before me that I will complete before I die.” and begin writing down whatever comes to mind.

Be sure to give yourself the time and space to get this list done, if you get stuck at 30-40 (as I did), then come back to it, leave it in a conspicuous place, like your fridge or something, with a pen attached, so you will keep filling in the blanks. Start planning completion dates for the most important things on your list.

Be specific, if you intend on traveling the World before you die, then pick the first destination, you want to know the Continent, Country, State/Province, City, Town and even the Street you wish to stay on.

The reason you want to be specific is this will develop an awareness and then every time a travel deal, atlas, globe in a store, presents itself in front of you, it will have you thinking about your goal of traveling to this destination.

This awareness brings images to mind, ideas of what you would do when you get there, it should make you smile. If you find yourself realizing that you have not done anything towards attaining your goal, hello, if you do not start now, you never will get any closer.

If you have too many obstacles in your way (not enough money, never would get time off work, kids are too small, kids are too big, have to save for their college, etc) then it is time for you to get your priorities straight; if you are not happy and truly living your life, then what is the point. Do what you can to make yourself happy, sell your goal to those around you so they will support you towards attaining it.

If the people around you tell you things like… “you are crazy,” “you will never get that done,” “you are only going to set yourself up for being depressed,” then it is time to get some new people around you because the people who will not support you on your dream will only hold you back from attaining it.

“A man who never had a dream, never had a dream come true.” - Author Unknown

How about adding a new touch to your list? Every time I cross something off the list, I add something to it; I always have something to do and I plan on dying with 101 things on my list, but also having completed hundreds of things that I wanted to do over the years.

Life is full of possibilities and potential and until you stake your claim on what you are going to do in your life, you never will get it done. I’ll tell you what, if you look at your list rather than the television and take some action towards checking something off the list, you will be much more likely to get it.

So, now is the time, go grabs some paper and a pen, start writing and planning the rest of your life. Remember, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

I learned from an online course called effective marketing 101 how an opportunity card can change peoples lives and improve your business. This is a very effective & savvy means to advertising your business that is very low cost and effective. I am going to go over how to use opportunity cards effectively and give you some links to where you can get some low cost cards printed. So lets get started..

Think of opportunity cards as a low cost way of advertising your business. Using a short but to the point advertisement with your contact information on it. You can place them on counter tops of store you shop at, or give them to the cashier when you buy something. I like to put them in my bills when I have to send in a payment or two.

I make sure that I leave an opportunity card each and every time we dine out or I get a cup of coffee. I leave one by the cream and sugar, or next to the cash register and some coffee houses or stores have a community board that I post two cards on. When park my truck I place one on the cars next to me in the parking lot on the drivers side windows.

But I learned from effective Marketing that he BEST way to use opportunity cards is to go some place where there are a lot of people and hand out as many as you can with a smile on your face. Some people will glance at it, some will not read it at all. Then there are those few that will read your card and if your ad & business resonates with them and they can use it for themselves or their family then you have a new customer.

It is that simple! So where do I get inexpensive cards for advertising? Well I use two places that offer quality products at very reasonable prices.

The first is www.vistaprint.com. The second is www.hotcards.com. Now either of there places will work every well.

Here are some simple business facts:

* Small businesses make up 99% off all employer firms in the country.

* Small businesses employ more than 56 Million people in he U.S.

* Home-based enterprises represent 53% of all small businesses

Harnessing the power of your experience, with decades of work behind you, today’s retirees have the skills and knowledge to start businesses on their own terms.

Here are a few tips, ideas and tools that I have learned from my business partners that will help you in getting your online-business started.

1.) Don’t crack open that retirement nest egg; Resist the temptation to cash out some of your retirement money to fund your new business venture.

Instead think about asking a family members, friends, or find an angel investors to assist you in your new business venture.

2.) Consider SBA Loans; The Small Business Administration will help new businesses get up and running. Some of the loans can be used to finance your fixed assets for example business conferences, training materials, and computers.

Having a lower down payment and longer terms than a conventional loan means lower monthly payments.

3.) Knowledge Gaps, Entrepreneurial Boomers over the age of fifty have plenty of experience and confidence, but everyone has some gaps in knowledge.

Find a business that has a solid business plan, a plan that anyone can follow without having to have special skills.

Make sure the business allows you to leverage your time and profits in a 24 hour time period. No one wants to put in 12 to 14 hour days getting a business up and running from home. Your business should be able to run with as little as 3 to 4 hours 4 to 5 days a week of income producing activities.

In the age of the internet and business 2.0 your business can be open 24 hours per day world wide without any limitations. Harnessing the power of such internet tools as Google, MSN, & Yahoo.

By going out and finding an online business that allows you to leverage your time and your profit along with a world wide audience could possible pay you tenfold in time freedom, monthly income, freedom of lifestyle.

These are just some tips, tools and ideas for that entrepreneurial boomer who is not ready to retire. One of the fastest growing groups of self-employed workers are those between the ages of 55 to 64.
